EU to extend Myanmar arms embargo

The EU has given a firm indication that an arms embargo imposed on Myanmar is likely to be extended beyond its approaching expiry date. It lifted trade and economic sanctions against Myanmar in April 2013 in response to the Southeast Asian country's continuing political reform programme. The arms
