France has officially requested the sale of 16 General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI) MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), valued at approximately USD1.5 billion, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) disclosed on 27 June.
